How my client is reversing pre diabetes, lost 17 lbs, improved brain fog + extreme fatigue, without going on a restrictive diet.

She came to me completely depleted after being on the keto diet + intermittent fasting, with labs that showed she was struggling with low cortisol levels.

We put her on a plan with targeted nutrients + herbs for her needs. This is important because nutrient deficiencies impact the way our mood, and the way our body balances glucose + stores fat. We also increased her calories, we did not decrease them.

We Supported Her Mood by Supporting Her Hormones.

We supported her sex hormone balance by equipping her with knowledge to track her menstrual cycle. During this time she discovered she was not ovulating with each cycle, so we were able to put her on a supportive plan to target ovulation + healthy progesterone production.

This is important because lack of ovulation leads to low progesterone and low progesterone leads worsening anxiety + depression + eventually leads to excess estrogen. Excess estrogen promotes weight gain + when paired with insulin resistance, it can make it extremely difficult to lose weight.

We Targeted Her Glucose Balance by Building Awareness.

She tuned into what foods were spiking her blood sugar + began harnessing the power of food pairing. We tracked this using a continuous glucose monitor. During this time she also realized the true connection between chronic stress, cortisol, + glucose spikes, so it motivated her even more to target chronic stress with knowledge she learned in the Aligned + Renewed program.

We Supported Her Gut Health + Detoxification Pathways

We cleaned up her gut health + detoxification pathways. This is a key missing component in any weight loss journey because fat tissue is protective and anytime you are losing weight you are freeing toxins into your system. If you struggle with poor gut health + liver congestion, this causes those toxins to recirculate and promotes weight gain as the body attempts to protect you from toxins. Hormone balance also starts with healthy detoxification ability, as the elimination of estrogen happens in the gut + liver.

She Practiced Patience + Compassion Towards Her Body.

She realized weight loss would take time due to the state her body was in. She realized this did not happen over night, so it would not reverse over night. She also realized the importance of honoring her stress + emotions when it came to behavioral change (like food choices) + that rest was essential.
